Obituary for Rose Vazquez

Rosaria Vazquez, 60, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on Sunday June 28, 2020.

She was born to the late Lester F. Thompson and Anna Farella on February 1, 1960, In Brooklyn, New York.

Rose, is how she was commonly addressed. She was married to the late Rey Vazquez and is survived by her Mother Anna, 2 brothers, Lester and Joseph, and her sister Florence. In addition to her children, Anthony, Teresa, Diana, Joaquin, Marilyn and her 9 grandchildren.

She was an EMT in her younger years and always took us for rides in the ambulance! After a motor vehicle accident, She would then move on to serve as Manager of communications (Dispatcher Manager) at Metropolitan Ambulance AKA (Metrocare/Transcare)

Rose’s strong suit was her “momma-bear” like quality. She was a young mother, however, that didn’t stop her. She would defend her children, family, & friends, no matter what! She never let anyone take advantage of those she loved.

She was tough and stubborn. She always thought outside of the box and found solutions to any problem. Her motto was, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”

Rose was very proud of her family and leaves behind a host of colorful memories.

Rose was just like a rose bush, prickly, thorned, salient, and so beautiful!
