Condolences

Condolence From: Ed Yutkowitz
Condolence: I want to express my belated condolences on the passing of Fred Gentile. It’s no exaggeration to say Fred changed my life. When I was a relatively young employee in the 90s, he was insistent that I take advantage of the employee savings plan; because I followed his advice, I am now able to have a comfortable life. I was a lowly writer in the communication department, but he gave me a fantastic education about business and economics. He was a truly good guy, and I think about him often.

Condolence From: Patricia O’Hanlon (I was Bob Catell’s Exec. Assist.)
Condolence: I don’t have to tell you, Fred was the best!....head and shoulders above the majority of others at BUG (don’t care what it’s called now, it will always be “BUG” to me). Besides his exemplary career, through his community involvement, he accomplished many good and lasting deeds. I hope happy memories of past times together will ease the pain of your loss. God bless Fred - May he Rest In Peace.

Condolence: Dear Jane and Family: Fred was truly a mensch in every sense of the word. I am very proud to have known him and to have learned so much from him. He was a mentor but most importantly, a friend. At a time when decency is in short supply, Fred will be sorely missed. Our sincere condolences. Dave & Emilee Feldman

Condolence From: Vincent Enright
Condolence: Dear Jane and family
Fred was my first boss at Brooklyn Union and we had many great interactions over the years. He was one of the most principled men I have known. He was bright, personable . persistent and a great person to work for or with. He always had the best interests of Brooklyn Union in everything he did. I knew some of what he did with other outside interests but did not know the full extant of his involvements. He brought passion to everything he did. It was a privilege to know him and I am sorry for your loss. Respectfully Vince Enright
